A busy start to 2020 for Wellington's Irish Community, with Pipes and Parades planned!

Hi all, what a wonderful start to the New Year with a packed Botanic Gardens enjoying the wonderful Grada, an inspiring day of discussion at Te Papa led by the Embassy of Ireland followed by an incredible evening celebrating women.

A Cairde,

Hi all, what a wonderful start to the New Year with a packed Botanic Gardens enjoying the wonderful Grada, an inspiring day of discussion at Te Papa led by the Embassy of Ireland followed by an incredible evening celebrating women. And to top it off we had the unveiling of a community bench to honour William Thomas Locke Travers, who helped found the Botanic Gardens. Many of these events are only made possible thanks to the Society's partnership with the Embassy of Ireland. It was great to see many of our members at these events over the past few weeks.

And there's no rest, with the Society attending Pipes in the Park this coming Saturday, while planning is ramping up for the return of the St Patrick's Day Parade (and after party) and festivities for March 17 (read on for more details).

Slainte,
Ian
